Achraf Hakimi To Miss Champions League Semifinal Return Leg Due To Thigh Injury

Hakimi ruled out of PSG-Bayern Champions League semifinal return

Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi will miss the return leg of the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich due to a right thigh injury, the French club announced Wednesday.

The Moroccan right back suffered the injury during PSG's 5-4 victory over Bayern in the first leg on Tuesday. He faces several weeks sidelined. The second leg takes place next Wednesday in Munich.

This marks the second time this season Hakimi has been injured in a match against Bayern. He previously missed several weeks after damaging his left ankle in PSG's 2-1 group-stage loss to the German club in November.

Hakimi's absence leaves PSG without one of its key attacking fullbacks for the decisive semifinal clash.
