Nebraska, Notre Dame Set Home-And-Home Series For 2032-33

Nebraska and Notre Dame announced Wednesday a home-and-home football series set for the 2032 and 2033 seasons. Notre Dame will travel to Lincoln to face the Cornhuskers on Oct. 30, 2032, and Nebraska will play at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend on Oct. 29, 2033.

"The series with Notre Dame is the type of matchup that college football fans circle on their calendars years in advance," Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen said in a statement announcing the agreement. "Our fans have a tremendous appreciation for the history of college football and iconic venues. We are excited to welcome Notre Dame and their fans to Lincoln in 2032, and I know our fans will travel to South Bend in full force in 2033." cybersport live betting

The 2032 meeting will be the programs' first since Nebraska beat Notre Dame 27-10 in Lincoln on Sept. 8, 2001, and only their third matchup since 1948. Nebraska holds an 8-7-1 edge in the all-time series.

Both programs enter the current season in strong form. Nebraska is 2-0 in 2026 after home wins over Ohio (49-21) and Bowling Green (56-7), and opens Big Ten play at Michigan State on Sept. 26 before facing four teams ranked in the AP Top 25 - Indiana, Oregon, Ohio State and Iowa. Notre Dame, ranked No. 3 in the AP poll, is also 2-0 following a 41-13 win over Wisconsin at Lambeau Field and a 52-0 victory over Rice, with three ranked opponents - BYU, Miami and SMU - still ahead on its schedule.

Nebraska coach Matt Rhule, who is 21-19 since taking over the program in 2023, and Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman, 45-12 since 2021 and a finalist in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship, have both signed contract extensions with their respective schools within the past year.
